Acanthophippium sylhetense is a small to medium-sized terrestrial orchid native to tropical regions of South and Southeast Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and parts of China. It typically grows in moist, shaded environments at elevations ranging from 500 to 1,300 meters.

Leaves: Usually 2–4 leaves per plant, with an elliptic blade measuring about 24–35 cm in length and 7–13 cm in width.

Flowers: Each flower is approximately 2 cm wide, with a white to pale yellow color and red-purple spots on the upper part of the inner side.
