Adiantum nelumboides is a unique fern species native to the Three Gorges Reservoir area in southwestern China. It grows in warm, humid environments, typically found on rocky surfaces with thin soil layers, crevices, or grassy slopes. This fern prefers slightly alkaline, neutral soil and thrives at altitudes between 80 and 430 meters.
