Care Tips:
-
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Tolerates partial shade.
-
Temperature: Prefers 18–26 °C (65–79 °F). Keep above 12 °C (54 °F) in winter and avoid sudden temperature changes.
-
Humidity: Enjoys high humidity (60–80%). Use a humidifier or humidity tray, but avoid water sitting on the leaves.
-
Watering: Keep the growing medium slightly moist; water when the surface begins to dry. Do not allow the soil to become waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter.
-
Soil: Loose, well-draining, and breathable substrate. A mix of peat or leaf mold, perlite, and a small amount of limestone grit works well to mimic its natural karst habitat.
-
Air circulation: Good ventilation helps prevent fungal diseases.
-
Fertilizing: Feed with a diluted balanced fertilizer every 3–4 weeks during the growing season. Reduce or stop fertilizing in winter.
-
Propagation: Easily propagated by rhizome division or leaf cuttings in warm, humid conditions.
-
Pests & diseases: Watch for root rot and gray mold; common pests include aphids and scale insects.
