Dicranum scoparium (Commonly known as Broom Forkmoss) is a moss species that grows in semi-shaded, humus-rich soils in low mountainous areas. It is known for its unique curly, needle-like leaves that form natural curls, making it a perfect addition to micro-landscapes, terrariums, and paludariums.

    • Leaves are 7-11 mm long, needle-like, and curl into a spiral when dry, resembling curled hair.
    • It grows taller than similar species like Cushion Moss (Leucobryum glaucum), making it a great decorative accent for small landscapes, terrariums, and paludariums.
  2. Aesthetic Appeal:

    • The leaves are strongly curled, forming a fluffy, half-spherical shape that looks like waves.
    • Its color varies from deep green to yellow-green, and when dry, the leaves curl into spiral-like formations.
