Bulbophyllum lepidum is found in semi-deciduous and evergreen forests across Southeast Asia, including India, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, peninsular Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It thrives at elevations ranging from 300 to 1,100 meters above sea level, often growing on moss-covered rocks and tree bases.

Features:

• Size: This species is a miniature-sized epiphyte, typically growing to about 15–20 cm in height.

• Blooming Season: Blooms are typically observed from October to December.

Care Tips:

• Light: Provide bright, indirect light. East-facing windows or shaded areas with filtered sunlight are ideal.

• Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 70°F (21°C) and 85°F (29°C) during the day, with nighttime temperatures slightly cooler.

• Humidity: High humidity levels are essential, making it ideal for terrariums.

• Watering: Water the plant regularly, ensuring the growing medium remains moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer of the medium to dry slightly between waterings.

• Mounting: Due to its epiphytic nature, mounting the plant on a piece of cork bark or in a shallow basket with sphagnum moss can mimic its natural habitat and promote healthy growth.

• Fertilization: Apply a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to one-quarter strength every 2–3 weeks during the growing season.

• Air Circulation: Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal and bacterial infections.
