Originating from the Venezuelan species Cattleya lueddemanniana, this form represents line-bred selections emphasizing intense ruby to wine-red tones, often combined with a bold, velvety lip displaying darker purple hues and a contrasting yellow or golden throat. The flowers are large, frequently approaching 18–21 cm in natural spread, highly fragrant, and carried in small clusters on mature pseudobulbs.
