Selaginella delicatula, commonly known as the delicate spikemoss, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Selaginellaceae family. Native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, including southern China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, this species is renowned for its finely textured, fern-like foliage. It thrives in moist, shaded environments and is often found growing on forest floors, moss-covered rocks, or tree trunks in cloud forests and moist, shaded areas.

• Growth Habit: Forms dense, low-spreading ground cover, ideal for shaded areas, containers, or as a groundcover in garden landscapes.

• Reproduction: Produces gemmae (tiny plantlets) on fronds that can root and develop into new plants, facilitating natural propagation.

Care Tips:

• Light: Prefers low to moderate indirect light. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch and fading of the green coloration.
