Gastrochilus retrocallus (syn. Haraella retrocalla) is a miniature epiphytic orchid native to Taiwan, where it grows on mossy tree trunks and branches in humid forest environments at mid to high elevations. It forms a tiny monopodial plant with short stems and fleshy, distichous leaves, producing small, pendant inflorescences with a few sequentially opening flowers that are typically yellow to pale green with a contrasting lip and a noticeable citrus-like fragrance; its compact size and frequent blooming make it especially popular among collectors of miniature orchids.
