Hoya bakoensis Inner Variegated is a rare variegated form of Hoya bakoensis, prized for its attractive inner variegation and compact, elegant foliage. The leaves feature contrasting green coloration with creamy to pale variegation developing through the central portion of the leaf, creating a distinctive pattern that can vary from leaf to leaf. Native to the moist, shady forests of Bako National Park in Sarawak, Borneo, Hoya bakoensis is naturally an epiphytic, climbing species. This inner-variegated form is particularly sought after by Hoya collectors for its unusual foliage and rarity.

Care Tips:

• Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid intense direct midday sun, especially on highly variegated leaves, as the pale areas can be more prone to scorching.
• Watering: Allow the growing medium to dry substantially between waterings, then water thoroughly. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.
• Growing Medium: Use a chunky, airy, fast-draining mix such as orchid bark, perlite, and organic material. Good root aeration is important.
• Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is beneficial, particularly while the plant is establishing. Good airflow should be maintained in humid conditions.
