Hoya bella ‘Albomarginata’ is a beautiful variegated form of Hoya bella, prized for its small, lance-shaped leaves with crisp creamy-white margins surrounding a green center. The compact, trailing stems make it especially suitable for hanging baskets, shelves, or small trellises. Mature plants can produce charming clusters of waxy, star-shaped white flowers with pink to purple centers and a pleasant fragrance. Hoya bella itself is an accepted species native to Assam and Myanmar, where it grows as an epiphyte in wet tropical habitats.
Care Tips:
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Gentle morning sun can be beneficial, but avoid strong afternoon sunlight, which may scorch the pale margins. Good light also helps maintain attractive variegation and encourages flowering.
Watering: Allow the upper portion of the growing medium to dry before watering again. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet, but Hoya bella generally should not be left completely dry for extended periods.
