Hoya carnosa Krinkle Inner Variegated is a beautiful cultivar featuring inner-variegation, where the lighter coloring appears in the center of the leaves rather than along the edges. Derived from Hoya carnosa ‘Krinkle’, it shares the same distinctive dimpled leaves with 6–10 indentations and a crinkled texture, but stands out for its creamy or pale yellow inner variegation framed by deep green leaf margins, creating a unique and elegant contrast that enhances its decorative appeal.
Care Tips:
-
Light: Bright, indirect light. Enough light helps maintain strong variegation. Avoid harsh direct midday sun to prevent leaf burn.
-
Watering: Let the topsoil dry out before watering again. Don’t let the plant sit in soggy soil. Variegated plants are more sensitive to over-watering.
-
Soil & Potting: Use a well-draining, airy mix (orchid bark, perlite, etc.). Good drainage is essential to prevent root issues.
-
Temperature & Humidity: Ideal range is about 60-85°F (≈15-29°C). Moderate to high humidity helps (variegated leaves often appreciate more humidity).
-
Fertilizer: Feed lightly during active growth (spring/summer) with a balanced houseplant fertilizer. Reduce feeding in cooler or slower growth periods.
-
Maintenance & Flowering: Removing dead or damaged leaves helps, but avoid disturbing the plant too often. Flowers may show up in clusters once the plant is mature and well cared-for.
