Hoya Curtisii Outer Variegated Albomarginata is a rare and highly decorative variant of the miniature trailing hoya. Its tiny, thick, teardrop- to heart-shaped leaves are edged with creamy-white or pale yellow margins (“albomarginata”), setting it apart from the standard curry-green, silver-speckled form. This cultivar retains the compact, mat-forming habit of Hoya curtisii, making it ideal for hanging baskets or shallow pots, and offers a subtle, elegant contrast with its variegated edges.
Care Tips:
-
Light: Bright, indirect light is best — avoid prolonged harsh sun that could scorch its delicate margins.
-
Watering: Let the top of the soil dry out between waterings. Overly wet soil can cause root issues.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix (e.g. orchid bark + perlite + peat or coco) to mimic its epiphytic nature.
-
Temperature & Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity and temperatures between ~65–80°F (18–27°C).
-
Growth Habit: Forms a dense, trailing mat — best displayed in a hanging basket or terracotta dish so foliage can spread.
