Hoya lacunosa ‘Asami’ Inner Variegated is a distinctive variegated form prized for its compact growth and attractive inner variegation, with creamy white to yellow-green tones concentrated toward the center of the leaves and green margins surrounding the foliage. Like other forms of Hoya lacunosa, it can develop clusters of fragrant, waxy flowers under suitable conditions and is well suited to hanging baskets, shelves, or a small trellis.

Care Tips:

• Light: Provide bright, filtered or indirect light. Good light helps maintain strong growth and attractive variegation, but protect the plant from intense midday sun and excessive heat.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the substrate has partially dried, then allow excess water to drain completely. Avoid keeping the roots constantly soggy.
• Soil: Use a loose, airy, fast-draining mix such as orchid bark, perlite, and coco peat or another light moisture-retentive component.
• Humidity: Moderate to high humidity around 60–80% is beneficial, although established plants can adapt to average indoor humidity. Good airflow is important.
• Temperature: Keep warm, ideally around 18–24°C (65–75°F), and protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, especially while new variegated leaves are developing.
• Fertilizer: Feed lightly during active growth with a diluted, balanced fertilizer every few weeks. Avoid heavy fertilization.
• Support: The flexible vines can be grown trailing or trained around a small trellis or support.
