Hoya mappigera

Hoya mappigera is a rare climbing Hoya native to Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, and Borneo, where it grows primarily in wet tropical habitats. It develops slender, twining stems with attractive, fleshy green leaves and a graceful climbing habit.

Care Tips:

• Provide bright, filtered light with gentle morning or late-afternoon sun.
• Use a very airy, fast-draining substrate such as orchid bark, perlite, and coco-based materials.
• Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the medium begins to dry, avoiding prolonged waterlogged conditions.
• Maintain 60–80% humidity with good air circulation.
• Keep temperatures warm to intermediate, protecting the plant from prolonged cold.
• Provide a trellis or climbing support for its twining stems.
• Fertilize lightly with a balanced fertilizer during active growth.
• Avoid removing mature flower peduncles, as Hoyas can rebloom from established spurs.
