Hoya wayetii ‘Lori Lyn’ (also known as Hoya kentiana ‘Lori Lyn’) is a striking variegated Hoya cultivar featuring narrow, elongated leaves with creamy-white to pink variegation along the edges, with new growth sometimes showing a subtle pink blush under bright light. It is a slow-growing trailing vine, making it ideal for hanging baskets or trellis displays indoors, and when mature, it produces clusters of wine-colored, star-shaped flowers with a sweet butterscotch or honey fragrance.
Care Tips:
-
Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun to prevent leaf burn.
-
Watering: Allow soil to dry almost completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix (e.g., orchid bark, perlite, coco coir).
-
Temperature & Humidity: Ideal temperature 60–85 °F (15–29 °C); prefers moderate to high humidity.
-
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
-
Growth & Bloom: Trailing vine suitable for hanging baskets or trellises; flowers are wine-colored, star-shaped, and fragrant when mature.
-
Pruning: Remove dead or damaged leaves; avoid cutting flower spurs to allow reblooming.
