Lepisorus sp. “Brunei”

Lepisorus sp. “Brunei” is native to Southeast Asia. It is an epiphytic fern with leaves that show a metallic blue.

Care Tips:

• Light: Bright, filtered light is ideal; avoid strong direct sun which can scorch the metallic leaves.
• Water: Keep consistently moist but well-drained; as an epiphyte, it prefers humidity over waterlogged roots.
• Mounting/Substrate: Best grown mounted on wood or tree fern fiber, or in a very airy orchid mix (bark + sphagnum).
• Humidity: High humidity (60–90%) strongly preferred; mist regularly or use a humidifier.
• Air circulation: Good airflow is important to prevent rot on rhizomes and scales.
• Temperature: Warm conditions (tropical to subtropical); avoid cold drafts and temperatures below ~10°C.
• Fertilizer: Very light feeding during active growth (diluted orchid fertilizer once a month).
• Growth habit: Slow-growing; avoid frequent disturbance once established on a mount.
