Paphiopedilum delenatii f. albinum

Paphiopedilum delenatii f. albinum is the white-flowered form of Paphiopedilum delenatii. Unlike the typical form, which has a pink pouch, the alba/albinum form has pure white flowers with the red/pink pigmentation largely absent. The staminode retains a distinctive yellow area, providing contrast against the otherwise white flower.

Care Tips:

• Light: Provide moderate, filtered light, similar to Phalaenopsis. Avoid strong direct midday sunlight.
• Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist, allowing it to approach dryness before watering again. Avoid both prolonged dryness and waterlogging. Low-salt water is preferred.
• Growing Medium: Use a moisture-retentive but well-aerated Paphiopedilum mix, such as fine bark, perlite, and suitable organic material.
• Humidity: Moderate to high humidity with good air circulation is ideal.

• Fertilizing: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer at approximately ¼ strength weekly during active growth, as recommended by the American Orchid Society.
