Care Tips:
-
Light
-
Provide bright but indirect light, or shade / dappled light — avoid harsh direct sun to protect fronds.
-
-
Temperature & Climate
-
Prefer cool to moderate / temperate-mountain style climate (depending on source population).
-
Avoid extreme heat or overly dry indoor air; maintain stable, mild temperatures.
-
-
Soil / Substrate
-
Use a well-draining, humus-rich potting mix — e.g. a blend of leafy compost, loam, maybe some grit or coarse material to imitate woodland/rocky forest floor.
-
Good drainage is important, especially if using a pot, to avoid waterlogging in rhizome/roots.
-
-
Moisture & Watering
-
Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy — water when the top soil begins to dry, but avoid letting the root zone remain water-logged.
-
In dry air environments, consider moderate humidity, or occasional misting or grouping with humidity-loving plants.
-
-
Airflow & Position
-
Provide good air circulation to prevent fungal or rot problems, but avoid exposure to harsh drafts.
-
-
Maintenance
-
Remove any old or damaged fronds to keep plant healthy.
-
If potted, repot every 1–2 years or when substrate becomes compacted, to refresh soil and encourage healthy growth.
