Campylopus flexuosus, commonly known as Rusty Swan-neck Moss, has a dark-colored plant body with long pseudoroots. These pseudoroots can be removed for planting or the moss can be propagated by cutting the leaves or breaking the stems.
This moss is tolerant of high humidity and strong light and can grow in shallow water. It is suitable for mixing with carnivorous plants. However, it has poor resistance to mold, so it is prone to mold in a sealed or overly humid environment. Due to its tendency to mold, it is typically shipped in shaded, dry conditions.
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers strong light (5000 LUX+).
- Humidity: Needs 70%+ humidity for healthy growth.
- Soil: Best suited to slightly acidic soil.
- Temperature: Ideal temperature is below 25°C.
- Care Difficulty: Easy to care for, suitable for beginners.
Rusty Swan-neck Moss thrives in moist, high-light environments and works well in aquariums, terrariums, or as a companion to carnivorous plants, but it requires proper humidity control to avoid mold.
Purchase Size: 11×8 cm (4.33×3.15‘’).
