Adiantum caudatum, commonly known as the Walking Maidenhair Fern, Tailed Maidenhair, or Trailing Maidenhair, is a delicate fern native to Southeast Asia, including regions such as China, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and New Guinea. Belonging to the Pteridaceae family and the Adiantum genus, this fern is renowned for its graceful, arching fronds that can root at the tips, giving it the "walking" characteristic.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.

  • Humidity: Requires high humidity levels, ideally above 70%. Regular misting or placement in a humidity tray can help maintain moisture.

  • Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist but not waterlogged. Use distilled or rainwater to prevent mineral buildup.

  • Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 24°C (64°F to 75°F).

  • Soil: Prefers a well-draining, acidic substrate. A mix of sphagnum moss and perlite is suitable.
